SURGICAL ONLINE GIGLI Saw Set, Orthopedic Instruments Two Handles & One Wire

For fun I used this to cut down a damaged palm tree and it worked perfectly. I know that’s not its intended purpose but it works. Not sure I am going to go full on Dexter anytime soon so this will probably be as close as I get to using this for it’s intended purpose.

Purchased to trim my pet pigs tusks and it snapped in the first use. Definitely not a heavy duty Gigli saw.

The product worked well. Yes the wire broke! However, i was able to cut four thick tusks before it snapped. My only thing would be the handle/connector to the wire came off easy-ish. I would say cut speed was good definitely less than thirty second a tusk. The handles were sturdy and easy to grip. I will order a replacement gigli wire. It definitely did what we needed and saved us from having to pay for the vet. The product was easy to use especially for my first time cutting them myself. We were able to do our pigs standing without stressing them out.

I use it for de horns horns to cut them off works like a charm

I bought this saw to use on one of my cow's horns. She is a Miniature Zebu and the horns were starting to curl in to her face. I thought this looked like a better option than something that could potentially smack her in the eye or face. Upon arrival of the box, it was simple and packaged very minimally. I didn't expect much. The handles provided were small, best for Kids sized hands and not adult male. I started to use this tool and managed to get started and about 1/2 way through the bone the handled ripped off the wire saw. I managed to continue using it without the handle and finished the one side. This horn at area of cutting was only 1" in thickness. Upon completion I noticed that some of the area of wire had become unwrapped and no longer able to be used to cut. I moved to other horn and started. I got about 1/2 way through and was not able to finish with this saw. The wire frayed to the point where I couldn't use it anymore. I ended up finishing with a set of hoof clippers. They did good to start but failed in the end. If the wire were a little more sturdy, probably would have been fine.

I got this to trim a rams horn. It worked great and was efficient...but...half way through the handles broke. It also got wedged in the horn as a result of loosing the cut. After switching angles and continuing to try to free it, it began to saw through again. It would of only took me a minute at most had it not broke and gotten stuck. It also curled up, like it stretched out, after one use. Also wear a pair of cut resistant gloves when using this. It cuts through bone very quickly. I was hoping for something more durable that I could get multiple uses out of. I'm not sure I'll get another use out of this one. If I had a horn to cut off again I would go for this brand since I know it will cut through it. Maybe the company will have improved the quality by then.
