difficult
very specialised book, it assumes an existing, deep knowledge of the subject. it has proven too difficult for me to read

Noam Chomsky is clearly a very clever and knowledgeble man, but I am finding this book too technical and wordy. Perhaps it is not aimed at the undergratuate student?

Nice print.
Attractive publication. Soft paperback, clear print and nice cover. Looks good on the shelf next to other nerdy stuff.

The start of an era
Written when Chomsky was 28 years old. Published in 1957. 114 pages and its impact is still felt. If Chomsky had not become a political activist his intellectual contribution to linguistics and related fields would have made him a household name like Einstein or Freud. This is the start of it all. This book is also the source of the famous sentence "Colourless green ideas sleep furiously" which in some books of quotations is his only entry.

Perfect as a collection
Classic book with perfect cover design and printing quality. The font chosen is historical which well matches such a historical piece of work composed at 1957.
