I had to downsize my subwoofers for my new downsized van. And these are perfect, sound and build quality is great

These subs are overly stiff and a bit overly priced. I’m not sure you could even recone it if it blows up. Also, you need at least 300 watts to get some movement. Then you worry it might blow up. I wouldn’t buy another one. I would buy JL audio or Sundown. This sub is made in China. I thought Fosgate was USA. Big disappointment.

Plus jamais de Rockford Fosgate, le cône est tellement rigide qu'il est impossible de le faire bouger même avec les doigts. J'ai connecté mon amplis de 220 Watts RMS et il ne sort presque pas de son de ce HP. Pourtant ce même ampli fait ce débattre dans toutes ses limites mon Alpine 12" Type S et et même chose pour mon Legacy 8". Donc je l'ai retourné et j'ai du payer moi-même les trais de transport de $37.55 et il ne mon pas remboursé le montant au complet. Par chance Amazon m'as remboursé la différence, au moins Amazon donne un excellent service et soutiennent leurs clients. En plus je l'avais connecté en 2 x 4 homs en parallèle pour donner 2 ohms. (Les trois HP ont été testé dans trois boîtes conçu celons les specs des fabricants). A moins d'avoir des amplis surpuissant n'achetez pas ce Sub.

Ok so I didn't really get to use it what I intended it for because it is a tall sub. But I did not return it because I had already taken it out and didn't really want the hassle of shipping it back because of my stubbornness. I did manage to use it for a home stereo set up. Basically gutted a old radio shack Optimus speaker box and installed it in there. It looks pretty bad ass and fit perfectly. It sounds pretty good but definitely not hitting its potential. Needs lots more juice. But over all it came packaged nice and protected I like using sonic electronix for car audio. I go directly to there site find what I need then order it through amazon. Overall the sub is nice and tight if you got room try one its def a good sub. Unfortunately I gotta use 1 of 2 subs a ken wood or a kicker comp rt oh well mistake

Very stiff on arrival. Maybe it needs a long break in. With any power it cracks and pops. The worst initial experience with a subwoofer ever! I will try to get it setup and broken in before I decide to return. I should have gone with a different model or brand maybe. I love RF products and wanted to keep with the family. It is installed in a custom sealed box that is about .25 cf. Next few days will tell but right now I am not happy. My door speakers seem to over power this sub. Mine may be broken because it does sound good at very low volume. With any more volume beyond 1/3 it cracks and pops. I'm only @ about 250w. Update: I returned it on Aug 21. I am still waiting for my return as of Sep 17. UPS lost it I guess. Update 2: Sept 29, still have not got a refund. Not happy. Update 3: Amazon finally refunded the order. Seller was having difficulty with UPS and couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it in a reasonable time. Not sure this was the fault of the seller or not. They were very slow to respond and each time it seemed like the first time I contacted them.

This item and it's performance has nothing to do with this review it's the Amazon company and there handling of there merchandise. Box was wet ,damaged and my stickers and birth sheet was missing. Speaker is fine I hope won't know till I try it out . Very disappointed with the way my electronics have been comming this is the third speaker order and the last from here . Boxes 📦 are tossed around and not cared for. Was opened and tapped back up .
