Exactly what I needed, so many tips great book, impressed, ideal for beginner or intermediate

This book is so well thought out and put together! I wanted to start making my own dresses, however I soon realised that the pattern I had purchased came with very little explanation and lots of terminology I didn't understand. This book explains everything in a simple and clear way, including making changes if the pattern sizing doesn't fit you're actual size.

I love the size of this book, but not the spring binding, which is a bit stiff and I'm worried that if constantly used the pages might eventually tear. However the paper quality is very good. The print is very small, so unless you have good glasses, you may need a magnifyer at times. The sections on textiles is good and quite informative. It suggests the best way to cut a particular fabric and what size and type of needle to use and why. There are many useful tips in the book. I bought it for quick reference, to use alongside other sewing books I have.

Have barely been able to put this book down since I received it in the post :) It's perfect for beginners through to advanced sewers and costs everything from your basic sewing kit through to what stitches/techniques to use for that professional look. Would definitely recommend buying this

This is one of the most informative books I have found in a size that does not ,make my bag to heavy . The information on textile's is up to date, from silk to leather. The section on cutting sewing and caring for the fabric is full of information that I did not know at my age 63. Going back to college to study fashion decree I have found hard as I did not know the amount of studying I would have to do at home. Sp tp find this book is just great. The section on fabric manipulation has taught me a lot on modern fabrics how to use them and where they fit into the modern fashions of today.

This is a great book,compiled by someone who knows how to lay out a book that is easy to follow,( my Dad was a compositor,so I am fussy),and the whole book is great for instructions,I bought it because of an Amazon reveiw, thank you.

For improving my skills i have learn and still learning this book explain really nicely with good pictures love also the format

This spiral bound 5"x7" hard cover hand book; is easy to read, carry and store. It is divided into 6 chapters, and has a textile directory in color that is very nice. All techniques, and embellishments are explained simply as well as the basic sewing processes showing hand stitches and machine stitches. I enjoyed reading it, and can transport it easily as a reference.
