Will set you up for indoor gardening success
Great instructions with creative ideas for indoor gardens. Not all ideas are affordable or accessible ( not all living spaces are right for installing shelves, for example), however as a guideline, this book is great and will certainly set you up for indoor gardening success. Covers a lot of aspects of indoor growing, including sprouts, herbs, greens, flowers, root veggies and the classics like tomatoes and peppers. Wonderful photography throughout makes directions easy to follow.

Chuck full of great growing projects
This is a great book with a decent amount of information on what can be grown indoors in pots. I absolutely all of the projects that are in it, and I plan on completing several of once I get my indoor garden up and running. While this book is great, I would suggest buying another one to give you more information on how to grow certain plants indoors, add they really don't need to be planted at certain times of the year if you are supplementing the light rather than using natural light.

COVID 19 apartment farming - GREAT READ and inspirational
I got the kindle version for an amazingly low price AFTER i got it from the Library. The key thing is that the book is broad and really there is not that much detail you can impart about growing indoors - get things right, try and try again until it works. I live in a dark apartment so I bought lights and went that route. This book was so inspiring in the ways and suggestions to use plants as decor as well as growing food.

Great book for beginners. Easy to follow steps and beautiful ideas!
This book is GREAT! Especially for beginners, the steps are very easy to follow, aided with pictures and graphics. I can't believe how good this book is. I just received it today and read a few pages and I am in awe. At last! A good gardening book for beginners and for those who are in MidWest needing an indoor garden. :)

Loved it. It is good for a garden lover or otherwise. It makes for a good coffee table read. Or if you have visitors/family sitting/chilling/waiting in the lounge or seating area. The pages are of good quality. Images are beautiful and look like every gardener's dream.

This is a really elegant motivational book, with just the right amount of information for each edible plant covering from Adzuki bean sprouts to Viola flowers. The popular and unusual edible leaves and herbs are all here. There are plenty of other plant ideas to be found in the book - figs, strawberries, tomatoes, cucamelons plus many others can be found here. The book gives information and suggestions for different types of containers for different types of plant. For example muffin cases are suggested for growing microgreens, such as radish, mizuna, mustard, rocket, coriander and gives the time to harvest as between twelve and twenty-one days., but carrots will need a plastic bucket and take 12 - 16 weeks before harvest. Advice on :- containers, compost, watering, feeding and lighting can all be found here. This book will be good for stimulating the reader to start growing indoor edibles of different types or would make a good gift together with a packet or two of sprouting seeds for someone who might want to grow edible plants indoors, but just needed a bit of inspiration.

Der beste Buch zum Thema, meine Meinung nach.

Coincidentally this book arrived while I was mucking about with the container plants I intend to grow inside this winter. My plants gave a cheer when the package was opened because it turns out I was doing lots wrong, which explains all the dead plants. There is a big difference between container and outdoor gardening, and this book clearly explains how to successfully grow indoor plants. The information is practical and clearly written with lots of pictures and diagrams, clear instructions, and specific information on how to grow an amazing variety of plants. There are herbs, veggies, mushrooms, sprouts, fruit, microgreens, and edible flowers. Did you know there are edible orchids? I didnโt! Each project and plant has a list of items needed, clear pictures, and step by step instructions. There are suggestions of which plants to grow, how to grow them, and projects and suggestions for containers and stands. The projects are affordable and practical and I predict there will be grow lights, power tools, trips to Canadian Tire, and yummy food in my future. Hopefully it will also be possible to casually offer surplus veggies to my naysayers! There are very few recipes and practically nothing on hydroponics. Neither are a problem as recipes are everywhere and hydroponics is a specialized area of growing and needs itโs own book. I will now stop raving, will check for other books by these authors and have something to eat as writing this review made me hungry. Good luck!

I love this book, from its practical organization to the excellent illustrations and photographs that provide visual context. The book begins by demonstrating all of the different types of lighting you will encounter in your home, and helps you layout your growing "zones" by amount of light and temperature. Once you have decided on your home's zones, the book provides guidance for what types of plants will grow in each zone. The photos and illustrations are wonderful and give a visual description that follows the text well. This book is all that you will need to get started on your indoor gardening project. It has truly inspired me to get growing!
