Good quality clamps

I got these to fabricate flag poles for my motorcycle. The box stores sell 8 mm round driveway markers. These are strong enough for flying small flags such as Rt 66 or Patriot Guard or USA. I cut them down to about 2.5 ft as the 4 foot length whips too much and may not make it out of the garage. These are quality clamps with quality rubber. 7 mm is about 1/4 inch, so these are a tight fit, and won't come out with the wind, though I safety wire them. 8 mm is about .31 inch (5/16"), and the clamp has enough 'stretch' to work just fine. The quality is excellent, no sharp edges and the rubber is pretty good looking vinyl or whatever. Time will tell about durability, but I expect no issues. A planned upgrade is to put stainless tube in the clamps and make the poles removable with cotter pins, and for that I may remove the rubber wrap. I did take one off and the clamp is good metal, no need to polish out blemishes on the one I checked. All in all a good product at a great price.

These are great clamps flexible enough to close together easily but stainless steel strong. 1/4" hole for large fastner tgese are great for automotive, heavy truck or anytime duct tape and tiewraps wont work.
