Is it equipped for astrophotography?

Depends on your requirements. It's terrible for planets. It's okay as an absolute beginner for deep space. It's an Achromat lens setup so it has a lot of drawbacks, such as purple halos around bright white objects. If that doesn't bother you then it's not bad. Just don't expect much out of it for planets. You need at least 1000mm focal length for decent results.

Can you see the rings of saturn clearly?

To see the rings of Saturn distinctly you need at least 35x to 40x magnification in most telescopes most places. In an excellent telescope (this is not) you can see the rings as low as 20x. For this telescope you should shoot for 60x to 120x. If Saturn appears wavy as if "under water" then the seeing is bad and it is not the telescope's fault. That is, the atmosphere is disturbing the view. If you have a steady clear night and the views of Saturn are still blurry then you have a defective telescope/eyepiece.

I really want to see the andromeda galaxy as clear as possible with an affordable telescope; is this one I could benefit from?

Yes you can, it will not be like the multi million dollar telescope pictures. You can find it and on a clear night get a good glimpse of it. Take your time , get your eyes adjusted to the dark and even with a decent pair of binoculars it can be seen.
