Wash the cookware with warm, soapy water and a sponge or stiff brush. Rinse and thoroughly dry the urli with a clean, dry cloth or paper towels. Rub a little vegetable oil inside and outside of cookware and it is boiled with vegetable waste or starch water. Turn off the heat and allow the cookware to cool completely. Once it’s cooled down, you’re good to go! ---------------Maintenance -------: To ensure your oodu uruli's durability, Keep your vessel clean, neat and dry when not in use. After cooking, wash with a mild soap solution using a soft brush.Don’t keep the vessels unwashed for a long time after use. Wash the used one and wipe it off with a cotton cloth. Since the presence of oil content may form verdigris.-----ALWAYS AVOID--: When the vessel is hot do not pour cold water, let the vessel cool off completely then wash. Note-Don’t get afraid with small pores or grains found in this handmade. Cookware die is made by soil (lost wax method), so it has small pores or grains like earthen pots. Due to this porous nature, the moisture and aroma tends to stay in it without losing ents in food
