This is not what it describes to be
This duvet is/was poorly made, not soft, definitely not a 500 thread count, hotel quality duvet cover. Very thin and the first was proved it. I mention the word was, above because it went straight in the bin after the first wash! I always buy a quality thread count and lovely bedding. This for what it claims was the worst cover I have ever purchased. I should have known better. As soon as I took it out of the packaging I was unimpressed and new immediately it was too flimsy. I would not recommend this to anyone who likes their quality bedding. An offer too good to be true!

Top notch
Fits our duvet beautifully. It gives our room a really nice touch. No bed spread required. Haven't slept so well in years. Really soft and wraps nicely around the body.

Value for money
For best comfort I was looking for 800 to 1k tc however as had limited time to choose and maybe return, I just looked for middle of the range at a low price and gambled on this. The tc info and care instructions are inconsistent on the description and summary, also inconsistent to the packaging which was frustrating is it 400, 500, 600. There's a factory smell but I have washed and ironed the product, no snags, no bobbles and the factory smell disappeared. The fabric is quite smooth. The quality is better than I expected. Delivery was also really quick.
