I spent quite a bit of time comparing prices for cream of tartar because we go through a lot of it in our house. My kids absolutely love my homemade playdough recipe, and it’s become such a hit that we’ve turned it into a monthly playdough-making activity together. Since cream of tartar is one of the main ingredients, it finally made sense to start buying it in bulk. This package has been perfect for that. The quantity is great compared to the small spice jars you normally find at the grocery store, and the price per ounce is much better. The resealable bag also makes it easy to store and keep fresh between batches. The quality has been excellent as well. It mixes smoothly into the recipe and helps give the playdough that soft, stretchy texture we’re looking for every time. If you use cream of tartar regularly for baking, crafts, or especially homemade playdough, buying it in bulk like this is definitely the way to go. It’s saved us money and keeps our monthly playdough tradition going strong. 😊

Good value, seems good quality. Will keep buying. Definitely a life saver for anyone allergic to MSG and having a response (everyone is allergic to that poison but if you have a response to it, you know).

I like it! Rapid shipment, properly packaged, price savings buying in volume! I like buying in large quantity because it $aves money; I also know that I have my ingredient on hand, so I don't need to keep buying the same thing over and over again, at at higher prices in low volume! I am avid baker, actually go through my baking supplies pretty fast. My baking tastes great... brand name really means little to me; its the taste that really matters in my book!

Great baking product so far. I've used it several times for baking (snickerdoodles specifically) and its gone well. Now, for me I like a lot of cream of tartar for that tang, but this one does add a little bit of another odd aftertaste. It's not unpleasant, just kinda weird; I've been heavy-handed with cream of tartar in the past, not just this brand, it was just this one that seemed to have the odd aftertaste. I haven't heard any complaints since that one batch of cookies, so I guess I can't be as heavy-handed with this one since it's pure cream of tartar. I haven't used it for anything besides baking cookies so far, but it hasn't disappointed me. Texture is fine, there's been no problems with it there. No clumps/lumps, no discoloration, flows just fine, no issues at all yet, and I've had this bag for a while now. Big fan of it being non-GMO and not having any added nonsense to it, too. I'm happy with it overall.

Good value. I use it in my adrenal drinks but it does clump so I run it through the grinder to keep in fine. Much cheaper than buying multiple containers of McCormick.

This stuff is a lifesaver! I have always gotten awful charlie horse cramps in my calves starting in the second trimester of every pregnancy, unless I am obsessively revolving every single meal around getting enough potassium. But even then, with my last pregnancy, to get enough potassium just from bananas, sweet potatoes, beans, and chard, I was having to eat over 1500 extra calories a day besides what I needed to eat to get enough protein, iron, calcium, etc. So I ballooned up pretty quickly, and felt miserable from the 65 extra pounds. Yikes! This time around (baby 6! :)), I found out that cream of tartar contains potassium. Over 850 mg per teaspoon and only 10 calories! I add it to my morning protein shake (banana 450 mg potassium, spinach 450 mg potassium, cocoa 400 mg potassium, maple syrup, collagen, milk 350 mg potassium, spoonful of peanut butter, ice, and a tsp of cream of tartar 850 mg = 2500 mg, sometimes I add 1.5 tsp so 2900mg-ish; pregnant women need 5100 mg a day) and later to a glass of orange juice (I mix about 2 tbsp of frozen OJ with 1/3ish cup water and 1 tsp cream of tartar for approximately 1000 mg of potassium). So far, so good! I have not had one Charlie horse this whole pregnancy (I'm almost 28 weeks along), and I've avoided the excessive weight gain (only 20 pounds so far) from having to eat 6+ bananas and 2 sweet potatoes a day. Pregnant ladies, get yourself a bag so you can avoid the leg cramps! No, it does not taste very good if you add too much, but it is worth it! The orange juice really helps to cover the flavor, but drink it quickly after stirring or else it'll settle and you'll get a big gritty mouthful.

I love this. Doc said I need to uptake on my potassium so I got this. Flavor is so good you can put it in water and take it. Ummmm
